Just ordered a Vortex Spitfire 3x for $199 for my Core15 ar w/ a 16in barrel. Did a make a good choice? Has anyone had experience with these? Bought a Sparc but it didn't work for me.

Should I have gotten the Primary Arms 2.5 compact or Burris AR332? Found both for the same price range. Still have time to cancel.

Vortex is highly thought of around here but not sure about that specific model. As far as magnification goes it really depends on what your using the gun for.

It's just going to be used for killing paper redcoats at the range/home defense.

Then why do you need a 3x?

ETA: Unintentionally sounded like a dick. I've got the Spitfire AR (1x) with the DRT reticle. Very fun to shoot with, at close range and in open spaces.

A magnified optic would not be ideal for small space applications such as home defense.

Maybe I should buy a house that has 300 foot hallways.

The question is, where did you find such a deal?
