6.7 powerstroke, replacing the fuel filter and I broke the little nipple on the bottom of the quick connect.

I have the unique ability to turn a 10 minute job into a 2 hour project.

It kills me b/c I knew that nipple was there and still broke it.

The new part has a surround (areola?) for the nipple.

If I had a nickel for every time I turned a 10 minute fix into a 2 hour job I could retire

Ordered the part today, get it tomorrow morning.

$83.

Can't even turn the key until I put it on.

Note: Do not replace the 6.7 fuel filters with Duralast brand, the under hood filter will leak in the dumbest way imaginable. I replaced mine and after a couple weeks noticed a small diesel drip coming from under the hood but could never locate it. Found it to be the tit coming off the fuel filter, thinking I had someone cracked it I bought a replacement(Motocraft). Upon removeable the issue was pretty evident. The tit on the Duralast is smaller than it should be so it won't seal properly in the quick connect. $80 lesson in not to use cheaper, chinese replacements.

Yeah, I always use factory filters. I bought the extended warranty so I don't want them crawfishing if they see a chinamen filter.
