Both near 1000 and fully serve my needs. Which would you recommend ?

If only one of them carries a UL residential security container rating, I'd get the one that does. It might help with an insurance claim.

Check craigslist for an old TL30 or jewelry safe. I was able to pick one up tall enough for rifles for $400 (usually in the $1000-$2000 range), way better than a "gun safe" in the <$1,000 price range. Huge pain in the arse to move.

Liberty has the better fire rating but other than that I don't see a huge difference.

Thought cannon had 75 mins while Liberty had 60. Both at 1200
