Damn, that sucks. My dad hit a button buck last night with his old arse 93 Suburban. Didn't make a dent on that tank

The meat wasn't all fricked up? Buddy tried to clean one after he smoked it with his truck and all the meat was ruined although you couldn't tell from the outside. The deer tensed up I guess and blood ran through everything...pretty sick shite actually.

unless you had permission form LDWF you are not supposed to keep a deer hit by a vehicle.

I think it's the same way in AL, can't load up the deer without permission. My dad left the one he killed last night. Said there wasn't a bone in the deer's body that didn't have a broken bone.

Pretty stupid rule IMO. A kill is a kill. As long as you have a license and an empty tag why not let you keep it.

If you want to apply your liscence and it's restrictions, then you cant hunt over a roadway or within x # of feet of the road, and you cant hunt from a motorized vehicle. You also cant hunt beyond 30 min from dusk.

Keeping the deer should be a trade off for your vehicle getting smashed. And the insurance money

This is the only one I don't agree with. If I can see my cross hairs without electronic illumination i say fair game.

yeah I have shot a few deer where all I saw was a flash when i pulled the trigger. If you are not in a heavily wooded area you can usually see to shoot around 6

Buddy of mine, hit a small buck with the grill gaurd on his truck and it flipped it right up in the air and into the bed of the truck.

He got out and called Sherrif to report it and he was told to call LDWF, he did so and explained the situation. He started by telling him that he had hit a deer and where it landed. He then went on a lengthy discussion about his liscence, open tags, deer overpoulation, and wanting to keep the deer.

At the end of the story, the agent told him he could not pick up the deer. He told him to "leave it where it lies"

My buddy asked "Like golf? I have to leave it where it lies?"

He was told yes, so he drove home with the buck.

you shuld be good but I was just giving yo a little warning. I know for a fact that in rainy weather wildlife agents sit and scan the internet for violators and you sort of incriminated yourself.
