Trying to get back into fishing - need some OBer help

First wanted to say that I lurk the board daily, one of the best on TD 
I live two minutes from some of the best fishing in FL (St. Pete Beach)...and ten minutes from Fort Desoto...need to get back into the game.
This is my current set-up:
All 3 shimano reels, the middle one needs to be cleaned up.
How do I clean them? Should I just take it to a shop and have them clean the reels/re-line everything?
Also, what's a solid, inexpensive rod for the 6500?

I would just bring them into and have them all cleaned/greased professionally. Shouldn't costs more then $20 a piece to get you up and running smooth.

Was thinking the same thing...don't really have the time to spend a lot of time cleaning/re-lining

As far as cleaning, spinning reels are very easy to do.
What type of fish will you be chasing? That will depend on what type of rod.

Whatever I can catch from land 
I'd guess reds/trout/hopefully snook.
But then again I haven't fished in a LONG time.

The three shimanos are:
Triton Speedmaster Tss-4 w/ a Tsunami rod
Baitrunner 6500b
Sidestab 2500re
Don't know jack about any of the 3...just wanted to add in case that helps

You'll be lucky to get into snook off the bank. Get a kayak and go into Shore Acres and paddle the canals. Also the mangroves right off the Franklin on st Pete side is productive. I was slamming them from the yak when I was in 33703.
Also a boat club would be a good option I was in one when I lived there and it was legit.

We use to live on Snell Isle...living near Gulfport. 2 minutes from the bridge to treasure island on central.
Know of any good spots over here? I use to hit up Fort Desoto with some friends years ago, but don't know if I'll have the time to be that involved.

If that means what I think it does that's a huge reel. Doubt you will be able to use one rod for it and others. Get a 7' MH Ugly Stick and sling a piece of meat into the surf with it.
The 2500, I'd still get a 7' just a M though.

Let's get something straight now. I wouldn't buy one, but I'm a serious fisher.
Not sure, but thought US only came in 2 piece. If you do in fact have a choice, go with 1.
That 6500 is a lot of reel I would guess, like I said, throw a piece of meat off the dock/surf and see what hits it. Might want to use a decent size line.

Ocean, if you're fishing off the beach, buy a stick of 1 1/4 PVC pipe and cut it on and angle to drive in the the sand. Cast, stick that 6500 and US in it, sit down and drink a beer and wait.

Honestly have never had much luck fishing off the beach. I might give it another shot just, but I'm going to focus mostly on dock fishing.
Which brings me another question, is there a good resource that teaches you how to fish?

Google kit fishing. If I lived down that way, I would try kit fishing off the beach.

Just took the rods/reels in. $19 per reel for a complete clean and $5-$7 to re-spool. Went with 10 mono on the small rod/reel and mono/braided on the big daddy
