Best, people like optima, interstate, and big mamas.

I've also personally liked Mack bully dogs and SAMS special Duracell.

All deep cycles.

Just had two new Big Mommas installed. Came highly recommended by boat shop. I had never heard of them until then. Haven't had a chance to try them out yet, but I've noticed a lot of people talk about them here since the install. Seem to be always in everyones top 2-3 batteries available. They also have a Big something or other that is their cranking battery version.

I've had good luck with Interstates. I hear good things about Optimas, but their around $250 a piece.

I use Bass pro brand AGM and haven't replaced in 4 years. With any battery if you keep it charged with a trickle charger they'll last longer.

My boat came with an Optima Blue Top for the main battery and two cheap Napa brand batteries for the trolling motor. Optima crapped out already and the Napa batteries are still going strong. I'm not fully against Optima yet, becuase it may be something in the wiring in my boat that caused the battery to screw up, but I'm also not sold that it's worth the price tag.

Those 2 are still sitting at my house if anybody wants them. I have no use and they are just taking up space.

I think they are delstar batteries at 1080/800 or something. If anybody wants them, come get em

Wish I was closer to you. I would come pick them up. Always need batteries.

I'm in BR typically once a week, and can drop them somewhere if you want.

Most of the cheap batteries come out of the same plants. So you should decide based upon warranty and availability. As far as the expensive battered don't go optima they are not what they once were. Odysesy is one of the best, however sears diehard platinum are rebadged odysseys with an incredie warranty. I think it's either 7 or 8 years with something like 4 or 5 year replacement then prorate after.

Look carefully at the warranties. Not just the years total but how they handle. Replace vs prorate.

Optima sucks now.
Diehard platinum is great or an odyssey.

Trojan makes a real good battery too

Optima definitely had a bad run about 10 years ago. I know I had to swap out 3 different red tops and one yellow top after they quit within the first year.

I run Odyssey now exclusively. I would've gotten the diehard platinum, but nowhere had two of the ones I needed
