Anyone know when they start coming in?
Also, can I hit Mangroves at the rigs south of the MRGO?

I can't really answer your questions, but if you plan to start catching mangroves, you should learn how to clean them well. The cheeks, throats, and back of the head produce some of the finest meat you will ever fry. Mangroves have significantly more cheek meat (best of the best) than red snapper.

Caught a Tripletail last weekend on the way in from the barrier islands while fishing for specs.

Lake Borgne starts when the water gets real salty. Previous years it has been the July timeframe
