We have a very large Water Oak that needs to come down in the St, Francisville Area. It is a threat to several of the camps and just a matter of time before it falls. Any good recommendations for qualified tree removal companies in that area? Will likely need to be climbed and brought down in sections with block and tackle or using a Crane.

Thanks in advance for your help

I'll do it for access to hunting property.

I'm not qualified by any means though

Good stuff! We thought about doing it ourselves, then evaluated every possible angle and decided against it.

That's who you recommend? I thought they liked to "indulge" in stuff.

Good point.

BTW, your Mom sent me a message on Facebook asking me to get with her. I called last week and this week and sent her a message on FB. I haven't heard from her. I don't want her to think I didn't try.

She's been the victim of identity theft so they are trying to get all that straightened out so she may have put some things on the back burner. Ill tell her you tried getting back in touch with her

I used these folks last summer, they are climbers, did great work. I'm in Port Hudson.

Stick Borskey is probably the best around here 261-8538
Pokey Herring too, have to dig for his number.
Line them all up on a single day to give you quotes. Have them lay it down and cut in 16-24" lengths. Splitting wood is a good way to pass time in between hunts. Offer to pay in cash also.

Thank you for the reference FTF - called him and he is lined up for the work this week. Very professional and competitive on the cost. Once again the OB comes through!

Probably many companies in the area qualified to do it. Sounds like you did right and got a few prices (at least one your happy with). Only other advice I can give is verify their insurance through their provider. Don't just go by what they give you. If I was in your area I would help you out but it cost to travel so that alone would make our price a little high. Good luck.

Glad it worked out. He's been in business around here for a while and ive never heard of anybody having any complaints. Bump this after the work is done and let me know how it goes so ill know if he'd be worth recommending again
