Granddaughters dog is husky/yellow lab mix and a year old. So far in the last month, she's brought in two sheds from two different 8 pointers. I've never trained a dog and was wondering if there are any tips or advice the OB may have to take advantage of her inclination to find and bring in sheds? Got a friend that uses these sheds to make all sorts of neat stuff and it would be a lot of fun, I think, to go out with this dog and watch her find sheds. TIA

It's fairly straight forward especially if you have a dog who is doing it on her own.

if a dog has the want to please and retrieve instincts, it can be trained quickly to find sheds, positive reinforcement over forced behavior, small steps at first then watch out, make it a game with a reward and they will loved it...
