Looking to trade in my Beretta 9mm for a Glock or M&P. Any recommendations for a place to trade it in near BR?

See what Jim's will give you. They usually give more if you tell them you want store credit.

Your better off selling. Jim's won't give you shite for it on a trade.

The problem with gun trade-ins is that your 'used value' you put on the gun is probably higher than what the dealer can get the gun for new. He still has to turn around and sell it for a profit and will likely have to sit on it for awhile.

I liked it in the store and the first few times shooting it. It's my first handgun purchase. After shooting Glocks I've grown to hate it. I never shoot it anymore.

Try to sell it On the open market. You'll get more for it.

Look up the gun on gunbroker and see what the cheapest you can get a new one for. Knock 50 bucks offand list it on louisiana sportsman.

I sold a very high round glock a while back to someone on there for 45$ less than I paid for it 8 years ago.

Walked right into cabela's and bought a brand new one for $175 more.

Just keep it.
Every gun I've ever sold, I still miss having a little. ( sort of like an old girlfriend... I may have been justified in letting her go, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't want to take her out for fun every once in a while)

This.

Or if you must sell it try Bayou Shooters as well as Louisiana Sportsman. Don't do a trade in.

Agreed. Exception being when I was clearing out my .40s, because we all know it's a shite cartridge deserving of rebuke

There are very few reasons to miss that gun. The slide mounted safety is reason enough to dump it.

I don't think I'd ever miss this gun. It was my first handgun purchase, but I don't think that's enough reason to keep it around.
