Traded a Ruger 10/22 ITAC Talo Special Edition with 3 BX25 magazines (Paid $320 + FFL Transfer a year ago) for a Gen 4 Glock 17 with Truglo Fiber Optic sights and 1 magazine. Have been looking for a full size pistol so am happy about that. The Glock is in incredible shape. The guy seemed to not know anything about guns (I don't know too much but he asked "what type of shells does it take" and has been texting questions all day after the trade). I am assuming I got better than good deal. I see online that used Glock 17s are like $400ish. Is that a good estimate? Never owned or even pondered buying a Glock.

Then they're paying too much.

Did you pay $320 including the 3 bx25s? Those are like $30 each.

If you happy with the trade that's all that matters. My son has that same 10/22 and loves it. It's the first gun he purchased with his money, he's 12. I dont see him ever getting rid of it.

OP, Fair trade both ways. Tbh, you should have just kept the 1022, and bought a pistol when you ran across a good deal.

The only reason I got rid of it is because it was so frustrating not having iron sights on the rifle. I will probably be buying a Ruger 10/22 carbine with the iron sights from Academy for $209.99 in a few weeks.

You can get a glock 17 gen 4 for 398$ with the blue label program. If you know some one in the military, fire, police, or ems.

What he said. Never get rid of a good working gun unless you absolutely need the $$. Can never have too many

Actually Oscar,
Gunsamerica has buyers landing the Talo Special Edition for no more than $8500. The price dropped the last 4-5 weeks. I dont know why.

While we are talking trades. My buddy just sold his python for 4500. Same day goes and buys a 38 special edition python in mirrored blue for 3800. The 38 special is brand new never been fired. Yalls thoughts?
