Going up to hunt with TAW for the first time around New Year's. I know several people on the OT hunt with TAW annually, so wanted to get some feedback on a few things.

What is the best choke tube for hunting their spots? Do we need to take our waders, or will we be hunting dry fields? Obviously, these are things I could call them about closer to the hunt, but wanted to go ahead and find best choke tube for my gun.

I'd go straight to the horses mouth right now.

If you're hunting geese in a field, and they're a good outfit, I'd plan on shooting 30-40 yard shots

Get a light-modified that shortens the shot string and be done with it. That choke is plenty good out to about 40-45 yards on ducks and geese and any farther than that and you probably shouldn't be shooting anyway.

I just shoot a modified and it works just fine.

I use Haydel's long range tube with #2 Winchester Experts. My dad used whatever was in his gun and #2 Remingtons. Brandon will have the birds on top of you.
We have only hunted over water once out of 5 days with them. I would leave the waders at home unless you have the room and really want to help with decoys.
You would want your waders to hunt Flint Hills Refuge in the afternoons. If you don't kill your full limits of course. It is near the lodge. Last year it was locked up so we just road around.

Having been with them twice with Webfoot and others, I can only hope for you that you enjoy it as much as we did.
We are going on our third trip in January.

Haven't yet. The 1st year we only hunted 2 days and in Febuary, so duck season was closed. Like I said previously, last year it was locked up solid.

34, we are hunting Jan. 20, 21 and 22. Getting there the evening of the 19th. I am ready now!!!

Saw your comment on TAW's Instagram video, MSWebfoot. That was from our hunt on Saturday. Finished with 6 man of mallards in 50 minutes, along with 18 or so geese, that day.

We will definitely be going back next year. It was an awesome time.

Can't wait. We have two newbies this trip. Maybe Marcus will be a little less reserved around them.
Look forward to seeing y'all again 34.
