We're hitting the lake in the morning to do some perch fishing and we have a few spots to hit. I've heard the chicken coop is good this time of year but I'm not sure exactly where it is. Can any OBer help me out.

TIA

Haven't been, but the channel in front of Huxley Bay is a traditional perch jerkin spot.

A post from 2009 but may steer you in the right direction:
If you have a fishing hot spots map of toledo it will be marked on the Texas side north of Pendleton bridge. People launch at Newells fishing world and go north on the river about a mile. ( Newells fishing world is not what it's name implies, it's more of a cluster of camps with a pay to launch ramp) but people launch there cause it's the closest and the lake can get rough there in a hurry. For mapping, the address to Newells is 5050 Carters Ferry Rd. E. , Milam Tx. and the GPS coordinates to the coop area are N31* 31' 31" W93* 46' 45"
