Smokey 1998-2015
Instead of this being a thread of sorrow, it is a thread celebrating a dog that graced my life for 16 years.
I am the luckiest son of a bitch that ever lived to have such a good damn dog in my life.
Even though I have been bracing for this for quite some time, it is still pretty tough. I just never thought it would be such a void in my life, at least at the moment...
I will go about in the next few months the recovery process when I try to fill the void left in my life after losing my best bud...
at the moment it is being filled with various/copious mood altering substances, food, whores and other forms of reckless behavior that has been somewhat helpful ever since he passed this morning.
I am having this these dogs fight to the death in Hillbilly Thunderdome in the yard as a sacrifice to Smokey and his awesomeness, the survivor will more than likely get a JTTGDF.
Hillbilly Thunderdome participants..
So come, my fellow OB brethren, help my celebrate the life of my best bud and the joyous life he led and always remember to keep on partying.

Here's to Smokey
I can tell by the OP that he had a helluva life.
Be happy he shared it with you.

Sorry for your loss.
I am in my office looking at a picture of my 10 year old best buddy, the best one I every had- Everyday I am thankful to God that I have him.
Today I will spend time with Him and we will talk about another great buddy named Smokey-
Few people really understand the bond between a man and his dog.

It's pretty awesome how man and dog have co-evolved.

Sorry for your loss. I know what you're going through and I'll stir one up for Smokey tonight.
Wish I could witness the Hillbilly Deathmatch. You may have to throw a biscuit out there to get them fighting
