My 2013 Tundra AC just wasnt blowin as hard as it should. Little research, so I checked behind the glove box for the A/C "cabin" filter.

Dam thing was completely clogged with bugs, grass, dirt, leaves, sticks, pine straw. And neaux, I dont off road.

They are paper, so ya have to replace, $20.

After changing its gotta blow at least 40% more volume.

Most dont know about it,and most of the oil change folks dont do it.

Wifies 2014 Pilot was same condition, and same result.

Tell all !!

Profit !

Most are located behind the glove box, easy access.

No, most you pinch the end brackets of the glove box and it drops down. Dont have to remove the glove box

After it is down and outta the way there will be a small plastic snapped in cover. Pop it off and filter is behind it

Google A/C cabin filter for you car/truck

I actually heard about this filter a year or so ago and decided to change it on my truck. after looking and googling, I found that they no longer put cabin air filters on my make/model of truck because "customers seldom changed them"...

while this may be true, it is a pretty damn crappy reason to discontinue them, IMO...

thats too bad. a lot of the junk caught in said filter now will just be caught in the coil. I know my truck had no filter and I could sure tell the two times I've cleaned the coil.

My oil change folks try to change mine every time. I go to Napa and get a new filter for 18 bucks and change it about every other year

Yeah for the longest time my wife's 4Runner's cabin filter could only be bought at the dealer. For $20 it wasn't bad, just the drive was a pain to get to a Yota dealer....across town instead of going to O'Reilly or Zone.

Changed mine on my 2015 Sierra 1500 a couple months ago, at about 30,000 miles. Watched a youtube video on how to get to it, behind the glove box and had to remove 4 screws.

Hmm, maybe they switched back. I know my 04 doesn't have one, the 05 Tahoe didn't, my buddy's 06 Silverado didn't. I never really understood why they didn't have them

Mine didn't need changing (I knew it wouldn't) but I went through the "exercise" to see if it was a PITA......it wasn't.
