Time to retread the Honda self-propelled mower

Amazon wanted $25 for the same wheels that are slick even when new. I cut up a (new) bicycle tire I had laying around. It turned out pretty nice. This thing will do a wheelie on wet grass now.

Are the screws permanent or to hold it place while an adhesive dries?

Now you got to re-calibrate the deck height with the tall mudders on there

If my push mower was self propelled, I think I'd go to this whether or not my tires were bald or not.

I didnt use any adhesive only mechanical attachment with screws. Its seems like it will hold. The screws look random because I started tacking down parts that were semi loose.

Great idea. Now you need to attack that Dollarweed.

Have the same more just today I had to adjust the cable on the self propelled drive because the wheels where barely turning.

Saved spending new funds (can buy more beer), used leftover stuff in your possession, actually used the brain cells, put the foot in the photo, the tread looks great and will pull great......overall you get an A+, 100, and a Gold Star for your work effort and result!

Thanks for posting this info. My rear tires spin just fine, but after 11 years, they're worn down pretty good (but not bald like yours!). I was going to buy new wheels, but when I found out they are around $25 each, I started looking for alternatives.
This is brilliant! I plan on doing the same thing this weekend. Thanks for sharing!
Are those mountain bike treads or standard bike treads?
