Thoughts on this Primary Arms scope?

Primary Arms 4-14X44mm Riflescope - Mil-Dot

I'm very limited on experience with scopes. This will for shooting my AR15 at paper or steel plates at 25-200yds.

A lot of good reviews. A little on the heavy side though.

That's a lot of magnification to shoot only 200 yards. Heard good things about the nikon P or M-223.

That plus tax is pushing it. I might say that now and in 2 weeks its a different story. I'll watch some youtube reviews when I get off of work.

I see Vortex scopes on slickguns everyday. The Vortex models that I usually see are 2-300 though.

I want to keep it sub $300.

Big difference from the Diamondback series and Viper. Just a suggestion, I'm a fan of Primary Arms

I think they are only rated up to .308.
