Thoughts on Taurus PT740?

I would like thoughts from anyone with experience in this Taurus PT line especially the .40SW as a CC weapon.

No experience with it but I'm always cautious with 40s that small due to increased recoil and decreased magazine capacity (just my $0.02)
But if you're in the market for a small 40, I'd go with a mp shield 40 with no safety - let your finger be the safety

You do not want one. It is one of the 3 Taurus guns I have ever shot. It hurt my hand worse than a .50AE Desert Eagle. It is very tough to control. The trigger is the longest trigger pull ever. Horrible gun.

It is my daily carry weapon. It has performed well for me over 500 plus rounds. It is a bit snappy but that is to be expected for a composite frame small bodied .40. The trigger pull is appropriately long for a self defense weapon. I have shot others like the LCP and LCR which have much longer trigger pulls. Mine has been fairly accurate as I can group repeated dbl tap shots inside of 9 ring at 25 yards fairly easily. I have large hands and I find the grip a bit short but still comfortable and not difficult to mitigate. The blued finish on slide has held up well despite daily iwb carry in high temperature environments.
The best feature IMO is the extra
large trigger gaurd and trigger finger index divet on each side of frame.
My only complaints are,
1. Taurus is not as popular as others so finding model specific holsters is nearly impossible and you have to find generic fit holsters that work for you.
2. The elevation adjustment for the rear sight is an offset cam screw that does not lock into position. It has only happened 9nce but I did have some debris get under the rear edge of the rear sight which causeday it to elevate and made point of impact low.

Appropriately long?

Shouldn't it have been opposite? If rear sight was high, that should have caused you to raise the muzzle for the front sight to line up with the rear, thus causing high shot placement.
Or is my Chalmette logic off today?
