I am considering buying a UTV to use at the camp and around the house for general cleanup (lots of trees and live a fair distance -- almost a mile -- from the road).

My homework stays stick with Polaris, but I'm interested to hear other opinions. I found this online: 2016 Polaris Ranger Diesel

Already have a small tractor and diesel tank, so I don't have any issues with buying a non-gasoline rig.

No interest in going mudding, or conquering some backwoods trail, so I'm fine with more of a utility rig.

Three kids and a wife, so I am considering buying the extra cab model, I don't see how I could fit everyone in just a single cab.

Do they make ones that seat 5 now? All I've ever seen is 2+2.

According to the spec's from Polaris, a 2x2 will seat 6.

You can't go wrong with a Ranger. They also have the new Honda 1000 that has fold up back seats. It hasn't been out long so it isn't as trusted as the Ranger in my opinion, but it's a Honda. It should be solid.

Honda big red, only because Honda is all I'd buy.

But seriously you can't go wrong with a ranger. It'll do all you need it too.

We've had two different Polaris Ranger crews since 2007. an 08 700cc and a '12 800cc. We're still running the 800 to this day. We run it hard during hunting season, our place is all gumbo mud fields and turn rows.

Destroyed the front end in it this year after getting balled up so bad it couldn't go forward any more. Got that fixed and had a new fuel pump put on it under warranty for $50 so I guess we can't complain.

You won't be disappointed in the Ranger Crew Diesel. I had a 2013 model and used the crap out of it on my job site for 2.5 years. When I sold it last year it had over 2,000 miles on it and the only issue I ever had was a clogged filter on the end of the fuel pick up tube due to dirty diesel.
