in front of my place. Light's bad because of the rain, but got a few salvageable photos.

Several were fishing, the immature eagles waiting on the beach to fight over scraps. There's an old native saying in S.E. Alaska, "When the tide is out, the table is set."

Yeah, most our ours are rocky. They are potential landing strips at low tide though. I've used a few.

Yeah, there's a juvenile on the rocks (they don't get their white feathers til they are around 4-5 yrs old) and I think the adult male that was fishing got tired of his shite. I like the defensive posture of the adult on the left though.

Here's two coming in on one, who has a fish.

Rain tends to make raptors look like absolute shite.

Nice shots.

We're building a house just off the Gulf and have an eagle's nest back behind our lot. Finding that nest cemented our decision to build there. That and it has a lake that the Osprey fish frequently. It won't be Alaska but it will be pretty nice for the lower 48.

Damn Osprey.......I have one at my beach house. All it does is squawk. Not to mention they make my job difficult by building nests on my towers. Bald/Golden Eagles do as well, but they are much cooler to watch.

Was fishing Toledo Bend one spring, the lake was way down, and this exposed sand bar out in the lake that had 8-10 eagles on it. The little lake I duck hunt has several, and each year they have some offspring. Saw a natl. geo. moment in which two were chasing a snow goose. The goose zigged and the eagles zagged, and the goose flew off. It seemed the closest eagle got pissed and attacked the other, and they clinched talons for a second, spun, and let go. I know, csb.

Nice shots Roger.

We had a golden eagle flying over us in Glacier last month. A ranger hiking the trails said it was a juvenile but it was still pretty big to me. He said they knock mountain goats off the cliffs.
