Looks like I'll be relocating to Yorktown VA. Anyone ever fished up there?

My best friend is stationed in Norfolk with the Navy and kayak fishes all the time, mainly river fishing for smallies and rock bass. If you are interested, hit me up and I'll put you in contact.

Are we still Team Ascend, or has everyone gone over to Hobies?

Eta: I'm in the market for 10-12' fishing kayak that is stable and uses space efficiently and does not break the bank.

I moved on, I bought a Slayer 14.5 for myself and kept the FS12T for my girlfriend to use, then bought a Cuda 14 because it was cheap as dirt and sold the FS12T.

Don't get a 10'. I have a Hobie Outback and like it. I'll probably give it to my son thought and get a Jackson Coosa FD.

Ascend FS128T. Anchor trolley, adjustable seat height and swivel, paddle and dolly...

Is $550 fair for that?

How old is it, and what kind of condition is it in?

If it's the newer FS128T, then heck yeah that's a fair price. Jump on it.

As long as it's in good shape that's not bad, factor in tax and accessories and that's probably around $1000 package. It'll be stable, paddle like a barge, and possibly leak(easy fix) but for $550 that's a good starter setup.

Yeah, the weight of the kayak has me concerned.

Someone is also selling a 2014 Jackson Cruise 12 for $500. I think I am going to keep looking and not jump into something.

For a 12 footer? Yeah, that's pretty heavy.

My 13.5' yak is 94 pounds and it is a royal pain in the arse to load by myself on top of an SUV. If I could do it again I'd get a lighter yak
