2 and 4

5 and 6 have some massive girth to their horns though.

6 is the sire of my new bull...

To the guy who asked what we do with them. We constantly upgrade with the best color and horn. We haul off to the sale barn once a year what we don't want and sell them by the pound. Every once in a while someone will see them and just have to get in the business, and we are happy to help them do that. Usually sale a young bull and a couple of cows/heifers when that happens. Take that money and go by better ones.

#2 is quite possibly the best looking bull I've ever seen, color wise. He looks like he was painted.
#1 has the body that I picture when I think of a BEAST of a bull.

Yeah, kids love them.

Email me at my screen name at yahoo and we can go check them out. Sunday afternoons are the best to take a drive with the family, but I go about 3 days a week after work.

I grew up around show cattle, so I'm just going to assume the ones in tall grass are pictured that way to hide that they're structurally screwed and their feet point every which way I'm guessing in the Longhorn business that's not really as important as flashy color patterns and big horns, right?

Color and horns are definitely important, but confirmation is also a big part of the equation.

Do you consider birth weights, yearling weights, etc. like you would with beef cattle?

1 for confirmation head and horns.

2 for the color, horns and confirmation.

The rest don't look to me as classic a longhorn.
