I saw the nola .com blurb that it appears La is in for a nice duck '17/'18 season.
How'd everyone do last year with the teal and when do they start showing up? I think we are just about 1 month out. Cheers!

What makes anyone think we will have a better season??

Worst teal season in 35 years for me last year even with the last weekend "surge".
Too early to tell this year it all depends if we get a storm or not going forward IMO.
No storm kill birds. Storm drink more due to shitty season.

Blue Wings up 18%.
Considering the rain we have had and seem to continue to have, it may still be slow if every pasture holding water!
I will still be out there though.
Good Luck all.

Didn't even hunt last year. Not one bird on the farm. All this rain may spread any out that make it down

Like two yrs ago, too much water. Birds didn't have to move around.

Saw a big flock buzzing the marsh this evening picking up my boat at the launch. SWLA
Hopefully they wont come down early and leave by the time the season opener comes
