Teach Me about encountering Sharks while fishing
So I'm fishing for specs and reds and run across a shark on my line...

What to do?

I don't know what kind it is, etc... Should I land it or just cut and go?

Depends on size, but needle nose pliers does the trick

Depending on the size, land and eat it. Sharks are tasty

Shark has to be 54" or larger to be legal.

Any time, any shark? That's big to have flopping around the boat.

Really? Shit, we used to keep the blacktips we caught in Venice all the time. They weren't over 54"
