Son killed a wood duck on our family farm .. apparantly wood ducks are a rarity there. Thought it would make a great graduation or Christmas gift.
SO OB give me some reputable names please. Thanks a bunch.

Deep South Wildlife Studio on Verot. Gary Bell is one of the best in the buisness and has been doing it for a very very long time

Mathew courville's taxidermy off of 49 in Carencro. young guy with a brand new studio and does great work. he also has gun safety classes and classes to obtain carry license. you can look him up on facebook to see his work. just search "Mathew courville's taxidermy"

Can someone give me an idea of the cost of taxidermy?? He wants it I believe in a flying position.
If he wanted a new purse I'd know all about that lol. This I'm clueless.
Thanks for the names

If you want the best go with David Lukein Breaux Bridge, when it comes to birds he is tops

Judging solely on the mounts in his shop, David Luke does some amazing shite. For the record I haven't gotten mine back yet, so take it for what it's worth.

For birds Luke is the best.

Ive had 2 birds done by david luke and he did an awesome job. Expect close to a year turnaround from him though. Matthew Courville restored a bass mount for me and does great work. Ive seen some birds in his shop that look just as good as Luke's. Prices are going to be around the same.

Why would your son want a purse?
Posted on 4/12/16 at 4:51 pm to Cadello
lol Cadello he wouldn't ... should have said if it was my daughter I'd have been able to pick out a purse without trouble. As the mom, I know nada about this taxidermy stuff.

Any ballpark idea? I mean are we talking under or over $500? Doesn't matter as I'll get it done anyway but I just don't want to have sticker shock.

I would think $4-500 depending on setting etc, but I have not got a bird mounted in quite a while

$275 with basic drift wood
