DT, I don't have the Model 82, but I do have 3 other Taurus revolvers: a snubnose ultralite in 38 Spec, a 44 Spec w/ a 4" bbl and a 22lr w/ a 6" bbl. The latter two have had countlless rounds shot in them. Although Taurus handguns sometimes catch a lot of flack and criticism (although prolly moreso the autos than the revolvers), I've been VERY pleased w/ mine and don't regret their purchase whatsoever. Mine have been 100% reliable.

I have the model 85 and never a problem. I also have a 44 mag made by Taurus can't remember model, shoots fine but seems a little loose compared to higher priced revolvers.
