Anyone ever done this? Advice? Tips? Where to stop and eat?

Nice ride, you'll have company. Not sure your skill level, but to Abita and back from the station in Mandeville in a day is doable. You can eat in Abita for luch, pick a place.

Nice ride. Get an Abita flight of beer on the way. Best to do it on a cloudy or cooler day this time of year if you can.

Easy ride. BTW it isn't called Tammany Trace and they have a website that is helpful.
My favorite is the Mandeville Trailhead to Slidell trek. I usually stop at Bayou Lacombe bridge and sit on bench on a quiet morning.

It's about 42 miles from Covington to Slidell round trip. Longest stretch without a stop is about 5 miles. Gets busy on the weekends especially when the weather is right.

Start at abita. Ride to the mandeville for farmers market on Saturday. Eat on the lake. Ride back to abita, have beers at the Brew Pub.
