Suggestions on fishing beds

Bass fishing is already a challenge as it is but getting bass off a bed seems to be a work of art. I had two overs on a bed yesterday and threw everything but the kitchen sink at em.... Anyone have any suggestions or techniques that I could give a try?

The Big Bite bait that looks like a small bream. Leave in bed. If you feel you must move it, barely do so. Many times the fish will seem totally disinterested, then out of the blue, will pick it up and move it. You may have to check to make sure the hook is in her mouth.
If you don't want to buy those baos, use a colorful trick worm.

Back away from the bed to where you and the fish can't see each other. I'm terrible at catching a fish that I'm looking at.

I like to throw a shakeyhead with a trickworm for bedding fish. It really gives the impression of the worm attacking that bed.
Another method you could try is a fluke with a nail weight in the head. let it fall and sit on the bed and work it up and down real slow.
Then if all else fails and you really get mad at um, throw this little darling. MATTLURES
Work it slow like you would a Texas rig, it sits nose down giving off the appearance of a bed being attacked.

Several Chicot bedding bass that would not hit any stationary bait attacked a white speed craw that was reeled by them.
I was told this by another fisherman, so TIFWIW.

It's already been stated, but of course back off the bed. A good anchor point (power poles or others) are helpful.
My philosophy on bed fishing is that I'm not trying to entice them into eating my bait, but rather piss them off so bad that they want to kill it. I try to get an angle on the fish so that my bait approaches it from the rear at a 3/4 angle... the fish's blind spot. I slowly bring it into range of the fish, and then when I get to that magic spot, I try to sort of flip the bait up (not too hard) and hit the fish in the head with hit. I do this over and over until the bass heats up, eventually she kills it. If the bass will stay on the bed (which really is the main thing), then I feel like I can catch 100% of them using this technique if I'm willing to stay with that particular fish.
If the bass is skittish about staying on the bed, that's a much harder proposition. If the fish is worth it, I do what I call "rounding them up". Basically, the fish swims off, I watch where it goes, then try to approach it with my bait from the blind spot and hit it in the head. Wherever it goes, I keep doing the same thing, attempting to draw it back to the bed. This is the same type of process as above, an attempt to anger it to get it back on the bed, then go back to the above process. This is not 100% successful and is time consuming, that's why I really gauge whether the bass is worth it when debating this.
My favorite bait for bed fishing is a Zoom ultra vibe speed craw - pearl white color. It's the only thing I use. The little pincers sort of flitter on this, and I've found it helps in heating the fish up. The white color is so that I can see it, of course.
Just my $0.02

Also, getting elevated really helps to see the bass. I used to have a sight fishing deck that I'd put on my bass boat during the spawn. But I've seen folks use stepping stools, ices chests, ladders, etc., to get higher. This makes a lot of difference in your ability to see the fish.

This seems dangerous. First off, I don't want to be sleeping where snakes can easily climb into bed with me. Secondly, I tend to toss and turn at night. I don't want to roll over and fall into the water. Third, seems like it would be a pretty unstable fishing platform.
