Want to take my 2 young boys ( 11 & 12) on a short guided bird hunt. Neither has been on a real hunt...both will be using single shot .410. I would love to find a guide outfit that could take us out and help the boys bag a few birds....safety and patience with new hunters is primary. Maybe picking up some skills...and birds is close second. Any ideas? Thanks guys

What type of birds? Covey Rise sounds like it might be the place you're looking for

honestly, not picky. As long as it is something the boys could bag and we could cook'em up some kinda way

Covey Rise or Bon Amis would be good choices for quail. Slow flying quail are probably what you want..

I believe it is $135/gun/hunt

Those cabins (Covey Rise) look awesome.

Assuming you've taught your sons good gun handling skills, Thornhill's (just outside of McComb) is an outstanding value. LINK
Not as fancy as Covey Rise, and no overnight lodging. But very reasonably priced, and they send you home with cleaned birds. Last time I took my boys you could book an a.m. hunt or a p.m. hunt.
