Stupid .22 Question

I've recently come across a Rossi .22LR/20ga crack barrel. My question is what type of .22 can and can't I use?
Obviously .22LR is kosher. But can I use .22 mag, .22 shorts, etc.
Just want to make sure I'm not going to hurt myself using the incorrect ammo.

Definitely shorts, I would think it could handle the magnums also, but you need verification. Check the manual...

I say no to the 22 WMR but all other 22s like short, long, and long rifle should be ok

I don't have the rifle on me at the moment, but I'll look when I get back home.

Do you know the 4 gun safety rules?
- All guns are always loaded
- Never point a gun at something you aren't willing to destroy
- Finger off the trigger until ready to fire
- Know your target and what is beyond it

I have a Rossi 22/410. You can shoot LR, shorts, as stated.
No mags. Even .22 revolvers have changeable cylinders for the mags.

Barrel will say magnum if it shoots this ammo

Yessir I know my gun safety and have taken my CCL. I've been on many a dove, duck, and te hunt, but have yet to venture into rifles.
