Say you were a dumbass and didn't park the 4 wheeler where you should have and had deer spook on it on a morning hunt. Chances those deer would come back to that area in the afternoon?

Depends on where you hunt. I hunt hill deer around Port Gibson and those deer are the most skittish deer I've ever hunted. I also hunt in the MS delta, and you can park, spook deer out of the field, and wait about 30 minutes and they come back.

I once had a doe step out on the power line and bust the shite out of me. Bitch looked straight at me and went back in the woods. Idk how she busted me so easily. 30 minutes later the same doe comes out of the same trail with a heavy 7 point on her tail. Thanks lady!

Last year I got out to my stand too late - it was light enough to see the stand from 100 yards away. And of course there were multiple deer right under it that spooked as I was walking up. I had to decide whether to just plop down under a tree or continue walking to the stand. I said frick it, kept walking & got up in the stand. Not 10 minutes later I had a buck walk 10 yards from me. Biggest buck I've ever killed (9pt 22 in spread). It was also the week after xmas in Liberty, MS so the rut was hot and heavy, which might have had something to do with it.

You just never know... but from now on if I spook deer on my walk in I don't hesitate to stay put.

I jumped a buck while riding my fourwheeler checking cows in the morning. I killed him that afternoon 20 yards from where I jumped him.

I had 2 does and a yearling within 10 yards bust me and they came back within 10 minutes. There was only 1 doe and 1 yearling after.

Depends on the deer. I have had young bucks/doe return within an hour.

I was winded by this 4.5 year old buck (on a small woodlot) on 10-8 of this year and I didn't get another picture of him until 11-26.

Could be a couple of minutes, could be a couple of days. All depends on how comfortable with people they are

Yep, totally depends on how much they're pressured and what's going through their head at the time. Some places you can drop a deer in it's tracks and the others with it won't even move, may scatter when you go to pick it up and will be back feeding as soon as you leave. Other places their head is on a constant swivel and the slightest thing wrong will send them to the next county.

Many years back, I shot a doe that was standing next to another one. The alive one ran into the woods, but came back out a couple of minutes later and just hung out by the one I already shot. That was a mistake

One time I thought I heard a squirrel under my box tower so I stuck my head out to look; It was a six point looking straight up at me. Dam thing bolted to the right, went around a thicket, back around to the middle of the shooting lane and posed for me.

Sometimes not too long.

Kill it too? One season I killed a big bitch of a doe and dragged her out of sight from where I was but blood was everywhere on the ground. Where I put her was where more deer came out and they didn't know what the hell happened when she was laying there

Damn straight. Those were the two longest shots I've taken with my 30-30 so far @ about 135. They fell within a few feet of each other

When the spooked this morning one hesitated at about that distance, had my 30-30, kicked myself for not taking the shot. Two frick ups back to back.
