What's your go to for field dressing / skinning. Looking for a bit larger fixed blade.

I've gone down in size considerably when it comes to knives for cleaning a deer.
My go-to knife now is this Kershaw Skinning Knife.
I find smaller blades are much easier to work with both on deer and when cleaning ducks, squirrel, rabbit, etc...

I have used the beaver skinning knife, and it is great for skinning deer. That and the Buck 102 Woodman are a good combo.

Williams Knife Co makes a very nice skinning knife called the Coosaw
Marc Weinstock makes some nice knives as well
Swamp rat makes some nice knives if you don't want to spend a bunch of money on a custom piece.

That coosaw is a sharp looking knife.

I like my new Esee 4. I want to have one knife to do all. This may be it. I do however would like an izula. I think it may be a little better for small tasks and maybe easier for skinning. Won't know till this season.

Never used fixed blades. I only use havalon knives now because of how sharp they are and how easy it is to change the blades when they dull.

Picked this up today. Almost got the havalon but these kinda reminded me of my great grandpas old knives. They aughta treat my right. Can't go wrong with case.

Used a Gerber Vital replaceable blade knife in Colorado recently on an elk and it performed great. Went through 3 blades.

That's not too thick? I have a 5, and it is a pretty stout knife. Use either Gerber Gator or Cutco knife for skinning preferably
