Rem. Youth Model 7 .243. Grandpa got it for me when I was 7 or so. Still have it and now the wife uses it. Hope my future kids will as well.

Rem 870 youth 20ga. Still have it as well but it's a safe queen until I have a kid.

Edit: Completely forgot, I started on a 410 crack barrel too, but it was my grandpa's and it burnt up when his farm burned down

Started hunting with about a '60 marlin 336 35 rem. See through scope rings and a tasco scope. Thought I was big time. It belonged to me step dads dad.

My first one of my own was a rem 7400 30-06. Got it for my 10th birthday. Looking back, that was way too much gun for me at the time...But I grew into it.

1st- Benjamin.177 pellet gun that was a hand me down from my dad.

2nd- my grandpa gave me a Stevens 20ga crack barrel. "Killed a deer with it last year

3rd- I confiscated my dad's marlin .22 semi auto he never used

4th- my dad bought a used marlin 336 30-30 from one of his friends and gave it to me for Christmas when I was around 15yrs old.

Last that was given to me by my dad was a Winchester 1100 model 12 ga pump.

I still possess every last gun and will never sell them

Completely forgot about my new England 20 ga crack barrel. Love that little gun.

J remember sitting in the middle of a cutover with 400 yard shots in every direction. I'm not sure I undestood the limitations of 00 buck shot. I was ready to take a shot anywhere I needed to. Thank God I fell asleep so much I never saw any deer.

Browning Citori 28 gauge. We went and practiced at a skeet club regularly. I couldn't hotshot with it but I felt like a badass.

Red Ryder. I'm an above average shot and I think a lot of it has to do with how many BBs I shot growing up at a pond we had in the country. I would throw chopped up small bream off the dock and do the Lord's work on the water snakes.

Then it was a 20 gauge crack barrel with the stock cut down. My dad was throwing out decoys one afternoon on a hunt in the basin, and a couple ducks landed nearby. I stood up and shot one. It was a beautiful hooded merganser. My dad said he was worried I was going to fly out the boat as he watched.

Finally, a Henry .22.

Thinking about that 20 gauge, I can remember us duck hunting a lot where I'd sit in the bow of a gheenoe we had with a little propane heater and a thermos of hot chocolate. Often times I would cock the hammer and not shoot. I was scared to uncock it and my dad would do it. Those are some of the most memorable hunts in my life. I'd pay a lot of money to have another hunt with him.
