Looks like you linked what it's worth and where to sell it.

Since you're posting on the OB I'm going to assume you aren't so hard up you need $500 to make ends meet. At least keep it until November when you will be able to sell it for 10x as much.

I think you are right about that. The panic buying is going to skyrocket just before the November election.

I have a Yugo AK, paid 400ish about 3 years ago. I prefer it to my AR. Take it hog hunting at least once before you sell it, you may decide to keep it.

Yeah, those are the best.

How do I find out how much it's worth and where is the best place to sell it?

Local gun store. Or you can research on the internet. The country of origin and era in which it was made will largely determine your value, here. They're not particularly collectible (with a few exceptions), and you'll even have to figure out if it is all original if it is a rarer ($$$) specimen.

I wouldn't expect to make a lot of money on it. Its worth more as a shooter and a hobby (IMHO) that it will be for it's resale value. Let's put it this way, you're not going to make $1000 on it - probably not $500, depending on what kind.

So, if you inherited it - even if you don't use it, you might want to hold onto it and pass it down to subsequent generations. One of your descendants might value it more highly than you do.

i use a yugo SKS, best hog rifle you can use.
and you're right, the 7.62x39 round is far superior in most normal hunting situations than the standard AR round

exactly, it's only a matter of time before some spineless SOB looking for attention pulls a Sandy Hook, Columbine, or VA Tech shooting and the Dems will blame it on guns. I could see that AK easily worth $2500 if the schit hits the fan. OP, buy whatever magazines you can find now as they will provide an excellent ROI

I have a WASR. Pretty inexpensive. You might be able to get $350-450 out of it.

They are good guns. $500 new. You would be lucky to get $450. As Prop said, wait till panic in November if you want to sell.

Not anymore. WASRs are going for way more than they used to, even in used condition.

The kalishnikovs are the rarest of all AKs. Hold out for top dollar.
