Yes....it is a ground snake and a grass snake since it is on the ground in grass.
Beautiful too!

Hard to tell the faint pattern from the pic. Is either a kingsnake or a ratsnake. The eyes are because it is in a deep shed right now. It was probably very fiesty also as they are during this evolution.

Hard to see the markings due to the shedding, but that head definitely says racer. For some reason my snakes don't get the milky eyes before they shed. Two of them shed when I was out of town this week - one I knew was about to shed just because he's been looking dull, but I had no clue the other was ready to shed. I'm guessing it has something to do with a difference in the environmental conditions living in captivity.

Agreed, racer. The pattern is because he's still very young and hasn't lost all of his juvenile pattern.
The blue eyes are from a fluid they secrete to separate their old skin from the new skin underneath. Snakes have a scale that covers their eye, which they shed along with their skin. The fluid under the eye scale makes their eyes appear blue/whitish. The fluid will go away in a few days, and the eyes will become clear again. A few days after that, the snake will shed its skin.
