What is the best base layer option for Colorado next week? Do I go normal thermals or something like a nike pro combat hyperwarm/ under armour?

spend a few dollars and get some. they are lined and keep the snow from going to your nuts. i think i paid $30 for mine on the sale rack. wear clothes you can take off cause you will get hot quick. oh and stay off the bunny slope. it's like skiing on a block of ice. just go to the beginner or intermediate on.

Either one. You'll be fine.

Unless it is in the single digits you won't need much. Cool off on the ride up, warm up coming down. I used to wear pajama bottoms when it was in the 20's. Under 20 would go to a thermal type bottom and top. Under 10 start layering.

But I would rather be cold than hot.

If its really cold under armor compression shorts, long johns, then ski pants. Then thermal long sleeve with hoodie then jacket. Thermal socks are a must. If high wind wear face mask with beanie.

Gloves and good pair of goggles is more important than thermals. I seen women snowboarding in t-shirts and snow pants. You get hot snowboard/sking.

No matter what you wear underneath, make sure all outerwear is waterproof.

All of this.

You need good ski pants. Lined is important to keep snow from getting in when you bite it.

For snowboarding, BUY gloves with wrist guards. REQUIRED.
Nothing sucks worse than breaking your wrist on the first day.
And Buy/rent a helmet.

Cheap goggles are fine. Non-cotton socks are important. A Gator is helpful. Febreeze is a bonus.

Well, you want your outerwear to be water proof, your primary to be for heat and secondary for whatever suits you best

It is different for every person

Find a pair of Hot Chillies and you'll be good. They're tight, warm and water resistant. I'd always go Hot Chillies then pants; no other layers necessary.

I use Patagonia capilene mid weight or fleece base layers, then ski bib and ski jacket... Gore tex waterproof is must for outer layers. Good waterproof gloves and goggles.

Answer depends on weather and how good of a skier you are.

I've seen women skiing in bikinis for spring break, hell I was skiing in shorts.

It's a little different in January

ETA: skied A Basin one year for 4th of July
