Is this a shot with a rifle you wanna take?

If he's in bow range, I'm slingin an arrow.

If he's in rifle range later this year, I'm pulling a trigger.

Hard to age him at those angles. I'm assuming 4.5. All depends on your realistic goals for your property.

You'll know what to do when he gives you a shot.

Can almost promise when you see him in the field he'll look smaller

He would be dead as a door nail during bow season. Would think long and hard about a rifle kill.

He's a mature buck. Take him when you can.

That's what I was thinking looking at the photos. His beams go up high but not long and the tines are not as long as I would think they would be if it's the same deer as the velvet buck. And less points. I am with you. If it is the same deer you should have taken him last year and you better shoot him this year if you get the chance. But I don't think it's the same deer. Could be wrong.
