Any of you guys wet shave? My new DE safety razor will be here soon. I'm excited to get back to my roots, and save a little $$

I had to shave for the first time in years this week. I feel naked.

Who can get hair from a honey badger?

OhOhSeven,
I've been "wet shaving" for the past 1 1/2 years. I've found it MUCH superior to any cartridge blade system. It will take you a little while to get used to it, but once you do, you won't consider going back. There's LOTS of good info available on the 'net, including this forum.

On Youtube, there are a number of very instructional videos by a user who's name I think is ?Mantis.....
I've not bought any supplies from Ebay. I've bought my supplies from Amazon as well as these stores.

My first razor was a long handled Merkur for approx $40. You can get a decent badger hair brush for $30-40. A tube of Prorasso costs %10 and lasts 6 months. I now like "Old Taylor of Bond Street" better for a cream/soap. A tub of the latter will last a year. To start w/, buy a sample pack of razor blades (one blade from 10-40 different makers) to find out what you like. When buying supplies, the internet will be your friend as you'll find little, if any, supplies locally. The only stores that carry safety blades locally are Fred's and Dollar General and neither are very good. Wal-Mart used to carry blades, but no loger does. Hight quality blades can be bought as low as $0.10 apiece and last me two weeks.
When you get started, don't get in a rush. Start off on a morning when you can take your time. Wet shaving will take you more time, but you'll be well pleased w/ the results.
Good luck.

My pow pow shaves with an electric razor while watching tv in his recliner.
I use Mach 3s but would like to go old school but don't feel like sinking the startup dollars.
