Random thought, do you guys just leave them in the back of your truck or on your carport, or do you lock them up? Have meth heads and other lowlifes figured out they're expensive yet?

I live in a decent neighborhood, so no need to lock them to anything. no meth heads, so it just stays in my shed.

Had a neighbor that left his Yeti in his front yard for months... I figured it was too heavy for anyone to carry off...

I had a 120 with 5 cases of beer and 20lbs of fresh sausage inside stolen. I don't know how the door guy at arties missed the fork lift pulling up to my truck.

When it's in the truck bed, it's generally locked up.

Keep it in garage when not in use. When in the back of a truck, use a thick bike cable or a chain with a lock.

I have a sequoia and not a truck so no issues there.

At home it's either in the locked garage or sitting by it out of sight.

Enough so that I remember a news story about a police force that setup a theft sting operation using a Yeti cooler.

I have the cable lock and if I'm transporting kidneys or some other high dollar item I'll lock the cooler from being opened too.

I've learned that it actually has a better chance of getting stolen around middle class white males. Shocker I know, but apparently yeti is the exception. Meth-heads dont know that they are expensive and dont wanna tote something that heavy around and it'd be hard to sell. Now if i go to a college tailgate or any other event I'm locking it up.

I feel sorry for the person that steals mine. It leaks its arse off from the grab bar bolt holes. On top of that it smells like hot dog shite.
