Getting my daughter a savage mark ii .22 to practice with at home and don't know what I want to do about optics. The deer rifle she will be shooting has a vortex diamondback 4x12 on it. I have a Leapold 4x12 on a ar 10 in my safe. Thinking about one of the following...

1. Putting 4x12 leapold on her .22 and getting a 6x18 vortex to put on my ar 10.

2. Getting BSA sweet 22 6x18 for her .22 and keeping leapold on ar 10.

3. Getting vortex 6x18 to put on her 22.

I've heard good things about the BSA, but for the same price I don't know why I wouldn't get a scope not designed for just a .22?

Why don't you just get another Vortex 4x12 and put on the 22? Cabelas still has them for $150

Just didn't know if I already had a 4x12 and had to buy another scope anyway if I didn't want something like the crossfire ii with more magnification and turrets?

Anyone have an opinion on the crossfire compared to diamondback?

6-18x is a bit overkill for a .22 I have a Simmons 8 point 3-9 on mine but looking to get the vortex crossfire 1-4 for it. I hear the sweet 22 scopes are good.
