My choc lab has several scabs on her back near her romp. Maybe not scabs but just little clusters of dried crusty stuff. It started out as just three or four and I figured it was nothing but now it's grown to five or six and they've been on her for a few months now. I just have her my last trifexus pill so I'm going to take her to the vet next week to get more of that and have him take a look at her.

Anyone's dog had this and know what it might be? My parents saw her and swear it's mange but I know what a mange dog looks like and my dog is fine other than the few spots that this stuff is on.

Any ideas? She stays inside all day and only goes out to use the bathroom or play or walk.

there are two types of mange, demodectic and sarcoptic
if it were the former you would know
if it is the latter you can treat it easily

take the dog to the vet

It's probably yeast. You can get a medicated shampoo from the vet. Some people have luck bathing their dog in apple cider vinegar.

My guess is yeast.

Also that area is where you'll see a flea allergy reveal itself. Even if they're on Trifexis, the flea still has to bite them to die.

Purple medicated spray. My chocolate starts to get them when it warms up. The spray will dry it up in a couple days.

Dermatitis, my dog has them too and it's usually associated with seasonal allergies.
