Was fishing a kayak tournament and went to Belle Pass. As I lm getting to the jetties on the right side I thought I saw a dog running on the beach behind the rocks. Stand up and it's a pack of 6-8 coyotes. This was at 10 am.

There was a few behind Bridgeside for years.
Also seen a few around Belle Pass about 5 years ago terrorizing pelicans.

I was working on Fourchon beach last summer and had a yote stroll past me very casually. About 50 yards away. Was pretty cool.

Seen one by the trash can at the Fourchon public launch about 3am. Big and healthy too.

We saw something crossing Grey's Canal in front of us at dusk one night. Assumed it was a gator and putted up for a closer look. As we got close, we realized it was a very big yote. As it got to the bank, it turned around and barked ferociously at us as it ran away

Saw one trotting down the beach between Fourchon and Elmers over a decade ago. Not a care in the world. Serious question-if I see one in a remote area like that can I pop a cap at him?

I'm not sure if you can. I do know they hunt Pelicans, ducks, rabbits, etc out there. Saw Pelicans feathers over a section of rocks.

We saw a coyote on the bank of Houseboat Canal off Baptiste Collette in Venice.

I guess they are all over in the coastal zone.

Grand Isle State Park should have them. I seen at least 30 rabbits the last time I went there.

They have a bunch of them around Venice all the way to the end of all of the passes (on the hard land that is). We kill them all the time. They will gang up on my family's cattle and they affect the deer/rabbit population also.

while we were staying at Jugs hotel in Dularge last month a pack of yotes got into their carport and brutally murdered every chicken, duck and one of their cats for fun. Didn't eat a damn one. We heard them under their carport as we idled up the bayou on our way back from night fishing the Mardi Gras rigs at about 1:30 in the morning. Didn't think anything about it till Jugs wife asked me if we heard anything coming back.

Funny you say that. The other day when I was on the bridge getting back into Leeville, I saw a coyote walking out of the marsh into the water by the bridge. Was not expecting that
