I have a black bear that keeps knocking over my garbage cans a few nights a week. I know I can't double tap it but what can I do to keep it off of my LZ?

Lots of locals said to put ammonia in the cans to keep them out. It didn't work for me, but some swear by it. I've got bear proof containers, they don't work either.

Lamar county where?
Ammonia works on dogs... punch to the nose when they break into a garbage bag splashed with it.

I deal with them weekly. My small area has at least 12 large adults, nothing works. Lock up your trash in a closet or garage if you have one. It stinks, but it's better than picking up garbage every morning.
Eta: don't put it behind a fence, they'll destroy your fence.
