Came outside, and my damn tree is dripping water out of it. Only in one spot too. It's right where a small branch comes off, but wtf? It made a big wet spot on the concrete already. About one drop every three seconds.

I've seen a hell of a lot of trees before, but haven't ever seen one randomly drip water

It's not sap or animal piss either. I tasted it

It is a male. Only the males leak.

I have actually seen river birches do that from time to time...very pretty trees, but they do drip juice and drop a lot of twigs...

It was probably mislabeled at the nursery. You have a Tennessee water tree.

Chopped one down about a month ago. The stump weeps about a gallon of frothy reddish water a day.
