I planted turnips in my food plots; if the deer don't eat them, we will.

Greens & Carrots.
If you don't like beets and greens, then you should at least plant a cover crop (often referred to as green manure) for spring nutrients.

I didn't have time to plant a fall/winter garden and want to go this route. What's the best mix for our zone (9 I believe) in south La?

Be sure to either buy inoculated or inoculate yourself (buy as well).

We did a garden for the first time this year. I looked up what we could plant for the winter, but nothing was appealing. Mostly greens. I don't think we will be doing any winter gardening.

Thanks.
Should I do one or both?
