I've started to get out my training stuff to start tuning up the pup here shortly. Is anyone interested in going to the BC spillway to train in the next few weeks?

I'll go run dogs with you one afternoon or morning. It's so damn hot I don't like running mine in the middle of the day ha. She about died last week playing fetch.

My pup and me are both running three times a week. Need to get him on some whistle training. Picking up a red fox lab this week from a friend who is getting a divorce. Starting another lab for some duck hunting.

It's crazy, one splash and you see em coming from everywhere. I try to keep mine out of the water as much as possible this time of year, though it is a struggle.

I'm available most any afternoon, but I'll be out of town the next few weekends. Shoot me an email and we can all coordinate to go out there.

Let me know when you see the email.

Spillway is under water right now thanks to a high river still.

There's an open area near one of the launches that will do the trick for now, but thanks for the info. I'm not very familiar with the area yet, but I hope to figure it out soon.

I drive it this morning and water is way up in there.

You will probably have to wait several weeks until river goes down.

Let me get my hay cut and we can do it at my place no river water or gators to contend with.

As always ya'll be REAL careful training when it's this hot, 10-15 minute training intervals per dog. Have seen many dogs almost die and two die during summer heat down here. If they are out of shape start real slow with them.

Nhassl, you seem pretty anxious to work your dog - you skeered your dog is gonna get outdone by a designer dog?
