Bought a duck hunt at the auction donated by Bossflossjr, it was for 2 people with meals and overnight stay at his place In the Delta. Just made it back and man We had a great time. boss did an excellent job as a host, had some Best stop boudin waiting for us, followed by some Mickey Brown Tamales while he cooked each of us a USDA PRIME filet, that must of been about a pound and a half each, cooked better than Ruth Chris her self could of done, with some roasted potatoes and asparagus on the side, more great food than you could possibly eat. Stood around the fire bullshitting and trading stories with boss, his dad and friend. Woke up this morning to a hot cup of coffee and off to the blind we went, lots of stories about getting to and from the blind that we will tell later. We hunted hard as hell and missed a few birds that we should of killed and ended up with a respectable haul for such a windless blue sky day

Again Boss took care of all the dirty work and made our trip fantastic, thanks a lot

Sounds like a great time.

My kids and SIL are going up Wednesday morning. Suppose to deer hunt that afternoon, spend the night and duck hunt Thursday morning.

You were in good company!

I hunted down there yesterday in the rain, didn't limit, or even close (and rain is usually good for us) but I had my 4yo daughter on her first duck hunt, and I had to leave @ 8.

Off topic but related: If anyone sees BP here, tell him to text me about my hunt. I dropped my phone and lost his number. Thanks.

Thats what I told them... Had hopes the day post-rain would be productive. Several days of stagnant weather kills that place tho.

Is a great guy. His buddy is a very interesting fella to listen to / about his hunting exploits. I made some friends over the past couple days. Small world, my wife knows one of their wives. Paws told me to quit sweating the hunt over and over, but kills me not to put them on a bunch of birds. Was an incredibly slow day... 60 degrees 0 MPH Wind with Gusts up to 0 MPH. The 10am Mallard Flight was late, so we missed them.

I will let Paws describe the fiasco gettin to and from the blind today.... But will give u a pic of some of thew wreckage we dealt with after the guests left.

Food was great, company was great, hunting was bad. Hate those trips!

All in all, Paws and his pal are good people. I owe them another and will 100% pull thru for them next time. He bought a duck hunt at EJW's Benefit.... But I donated a duck kill.....
