Nitro steel or the cheap shite?
I use both, but I use the cheap shite more often. If I knew I was going on a real deal mallard hunt, I'd break out the nitro steel.

I use to drive up to Red Slough WMA in the SE corner of Oklahoma. Had some great hunts there on public land.

Used to use the Nitro Mag, blistered a big green head with the Sportsmans one morning and that somb flew off. Moral is, the sportsmans suck wang. I'm an estate man until I run out of them.

I usually buy whatever is cheap and don't have any problems.
I have splurged before on black cloud and stuff and while I could definitely tell a difference, the price tag just wasn't worth it to me.

I shoot the cheap shite and have no issues killing birds. Just don't be taking a bunch of passing shots at 40yds.
Personally I like #4 for tight flooded timber and teal season, and #2 for everything else.

Kent Fast Steel 1 1/4 oz 3 shot. I've tried winny drylok and a few others and this has been my favorite.
When I know a lot of do gris will be swooping in, the Kent Teal Steal #5 is also good.
