As my mom gets older and crazier, she has decided to become a prepper. Any recommendations on a gift for Christmas? TIA

This is pretty true and I can't understand why. Anyone that's ever picked up an M107 would probably pick a different weapon system for just about any scenario.
As for the gift, I'd get her one of those filter straws/bottles.

Prepper bunker defense, man!
I think preppers need to do one thing before they start prepping any further: get in good physical shape. Then they might be able to pick up that M107, or that 80 lbs. ruck they've been filling with prepper escape goodies.

Mylar bags with O2 absorbers
Hand tools
Backpack or satchel for a get home bag or go bag
If you get a bag, put some smaller items inside like a roll of duct tape, whistle, flashlight, couple bandanas, and a Leatherman type tool. She will love it.
ETA. Dont forget a ferrous rod, for fire starting.

I'll probably throw a few things together. She pretty much does a lot of things with food. Can't get her to buy more guns for some dumb reason.
