Recommend a Bay Boat

I've been looking around for a Bay Boat to purchase and there are tons of options. Give me some recommendations as to your experiences with your boats.
I'm looking for a fiberglass Center Console Bay boat between 18-19 feet with 115-125 motor, preferably Yamaha or Mercury.
This will be my first boat purchase but I do have plenty of boating experience.

I'm in the same boat except looking for a 19-21'. I would love to hear more about the Sportsman Brand if any has any experience. i think it's a fairly new company, only have heard good things so far.

It's a foot longer and more horsepower than you are looking for but look at the new Sportsman 20' bay boat. Buddy of mine just bought one and it's pretty nice.

Kinda short for what I would recomend but in that size, Nautic Star. Galvanized trailer
101lb salt trolling motor.
Depending on where you will be fishing, you may want to install a power pole.
I would recommend a 22-24ft.
If you will have kids fishing in the boat, Never buy bay boat with T-Top as they get in the way for casting.
Example of My ole mans boat that I've been fishing out of for the past 4-5 years and it's a champ in shallow waters of big lake. Blue Wave Super T 220

Been pretty happy with my 19' Nautic Star over all. 150 Optimax(Greatest outboard ever crafted by human or elvan hands) It doesn't perform very well, but then again, I was used to bass boat hulls. Does it's job, and the accessories/fittings etc are high quality.

Maybe so, but when it's 110 in the middle of July sitting in the shade to get a drink and eat a sammich that T-Top is worth its weight in gold.

I'll never have one without a t-top. Sure is nice to get out the sun for a few minutes every now and then and have a cold beverage and/or a sammich.

I'll put up the Bimini for 15 min or so to get a bite. I usually wear long sleeves breathable shirts and shorts. The heat doesn't bother me when inland fishing.
Now when I go out and just drop line, T-top is the way to go

No clue. My phone is on it's last leg so I'm gonna blame it on that.

Do you know how much they run? I checked them out and they look very nice but I cant find any pricing online.

I would go with a 21'-24' bay boat. You will want something bigger than a 18'-19' if you are wanting to fish 3-4 people comfortably. I agree about not getting one with a t-top. They are a pain and get in the way of casting. I have a bimini on 24' bay boat and I like the flexibility of putting it up or taking it down when I want to.

What is your budget?
I can't believe that no one has asked this.

This...
There are a lot of great options out there...too many to list.
I'd recommend going to a boat show, looking around, see what you like, and then take those for a test run.
That said, common makes in LA are Nauticstar, Blazer Bay, Mako, Pathfinder, Tidewater, Carolina Skiff, Sea Chaser, Xpress, and well many many more.
If you want info on Tidewater boats, lemme know. I own one and can provide info on it.
A bit of a warning - A lot of people are going to rep their boat make and really don't know much about any other make. You don't really know a boat until you have owned it (going through cleaning, maintenance, fishing in multiple conditions)... So ask the pros and cons on their boat...and take what they say about other makes (that they haven't owned) with a grain of salt.
Additionally, figure out what type of fishing you will do aprox. 60% of the time and buy a boat that suits that need.
There are a lot of boats geared for a specific type of fishing...can really improve the enjoyment/ease of fishing with the right boat v. Just any other boat

I believe he ball parked it to me at around 30 with aluminum trailer and electronics.
I'm not a bay boat guy but I was able to get in it and walk around. It has a big front deck and plenty of room and storage.
F150 Yamaha said he topped out at 50 GPS.

You have cash or need financing? Got a budget? You can get more boat for the money with a used boat a couple of years old...
